AAF Cape Girardeau is a non-profit organization made up of communications professionals throughout the Southeast Missouri region. The organization seeks to provide and promote a better understanding of the functions and value of advertising; apply the skills, creativity and energy of the advertising industry in solving social problems; advance the standards of advertising through voluntary self-regulation; and promote good fellowship and free exchange of ideas. AAF Cape Girardeau is affiliated with the American Advertising Federation and the Ninth District, AAF.

Our goal is to provide you with learning and professional development, networking opportunities, recognition of creativity and skills and opportunities to support local worthwhile causes. We do this through the following flagship programs.

Programs

Advertising for a Cause – As AAF Cape Girardeau members, we are in a unique position to bring awareness to causes that help make our community strong. Every year, one non-profit will be selected to receive free creative services from an AAF member. This work can range from the development of a website, the design of a brochure or a rebrand for the organization. When possible, this program will also solicit media donations to lend greater exposure to the selected non-profit. Learn More.

The American Advertising Awards – The local American Advertising Awards (AA Awards) competition is the first step in the American Advertising Federation (AAF) annual competition in which 40,000 advertising entries are submitted in hopes of winning a coveted ADDY. Learn More.

Professional Development Luncheons – Several times a year, AAF Cape Girardeau will host educational and professional development luncheons to educate members on the latest trends in leadership, technology, creativity and marketing. We bring in the advertising industry’s thought leaders from top agencies and brands to keep our members current on what’s new— and what’s next—in the advertising industry. We also feature local speakers to present advertising and marketing topics that are impactful to our community.

Marketing Workshops – A few times a year, AAF Cape Girardeau will host an educational workshop for marketing professionals. These workshops will teach the basics of a marketing, from artistic disciplines like copywriting and design, to tactical areas like digital marketing. These premiums events are offered at a discount to AAF members.
