EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

You want to learn things to make you better at your job. We have outstanding professional development luncheons featuring dynamic speakers on a variety of topics. Join us on the 4th Tuesday of the month at Catapult Creative House (unless otherwise noted). Doors open at 11:30 a.m. the program runs from noon to 1 p.m.

AMERICAN ADVERTISING AWARDS (ADDY AWARDS)

Every year, AAF – Cape Girardeau hosts the local American Advertising Award competition. It’s the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. Winners here can compete at the District American Advertising Awards and those winners go on to the National level. Whether you want to witness the area’s best creative work or prove your own excellence, this event offers the opportunity to spend a night with industry peers celebrating great work.

PUBLIC SERVICE

Give back. As members of the advertising community, we’re in a unique position to bring awareness to causes that help make our community strong. AAF – Cape Girardeau gives back through the Advertising for a Cause grant which launched in 2009. The grant provides advertising assistance and production and media placement for at least one regional public service organization.

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Shape the direction of AAF by serving on a committee or the board. We have several committees available for you to choose from, including club communications, programming, public service, university relations and Addy Awards.
